Here's another attempt, using Marko's idea <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

You Thief! <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
I like the background, but again, the text lets it down.
I might try and create a texture underneath mine and see how that goes.
At least it's slowly getting done. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

That is exactly what I want - well done both of you. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/good.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(Y)\' />

However...in the attached image, the font in GG does not look as sharp/smooth-edged as it needs to be. Is that just because it's not the actual file?

Looks OK to me, but here's the source file.

Marko!!! Could you add you lettering to the BG? So the letters arent jagged, it's because I had to delete your bg from it. Thanks dude ...

Since I was doing the other thing. I thought of doing the small icons.
Any good? Suggestions? Ideas?

Excellent job on the banner/logo you two! It's perfect. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... iggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Icons....hmmmm... the browse one looks good. NFI what to use for the other ones though. Might need ones for a few other things as well, eventually - although I am not sure what the coders are putting in the menus. FAQ and Store come to mind though. Not much help, I know - sorry.

Thankyou.
Yes, I'm currently stuck on what to do for the forum one. For the news, I have just used the photoshop "world" picture. It's simple enough and it get's the message across.
Really hard to work at such a small scale.

You don't have to have those backgrounds... I was just using them as place holders. As for working on a small scale, most icon designers design their icons at a 512x512 canvas and then scale it down to the standard icon size. Those square ones I used are 32x32 pixels.
