Okay.. Before I start I just want to say that me and mobes haven\'t been much of a help to prevent most of this. We\'ve been more of like the people \"stirring\" up the chatroom more than anything. I think that we need to take it more easy for a day or two.

Today I\'ve noticed that the room has been very abnoctious (SP!!) lately. People not obeying staff and purposly going against rules. I\'ve noticed that king_of_hearts has been posting quotes from bash.org that really don\'t suite the channel\'s G rated inviroment. Then he gets mad for someone adding a quote to Staty that he said and got mad and wasn\'t listening to me and left the room. (Which was probably for his own good) From what I hear from tom he asked him to remove it and I also asked him as he was throwing a fit about it and tom generously took the time to do it (thanks tom.)

Toads was a real heathen today also. (so were me and mobes /whistle.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(whistle)\' />) Nightstorm got onto him though. Don\'t really wanna get in detail with him though, basically he was complaining about words not being censored (\"crap\") when he very clearly called two members of the chatroom \"fags\". Nightstorm told him to stop complaining about non censored words when he\'s using words that he knows it forbidden. (did that make sense? I\'m to lazy to reread)

Bee =x well yall know how Bee is. He\'s just naturally a trouble maker /blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> so yea.. He\'s been gettin\' on my nerves anyway as is with his wonderful \"sex me with a cookie\" talk and \"skinless goats\", \"blood\" and all that other stuff.

Now for my little \"apologee\" I feel that I should make.

my apologee goes out to the staff for being such an idiot by stirring up the chat room with me and mobes\' sexual comments or whatever. I really do think that we should sorta calm down with it all as it does get the room in a weird mood. Hopefully this issue will be solved and I clearly see (now that I have read back) that I should have kicked a couple people as well.

I totally agree, Josh. I wasn\'t impressed with alot of the things I scrolled back to see-and it\'s good that you\'re seeing that things are getting out of hand. Just because exile & I are sort of on holidays, doesn\'t mean the chat rules are also on holidays. If anything this means that the KG staff should be stepping up to the plate and making sure that everything runs as it should. I woke up to a msg from NightStorm about the channel getting out of hand; while NS is a KG admin, he has plenty of other work to do and shouldn\'t have to be watching KG chat.

The sexual innuendos need to be toned down, king of hearts has been told many many times to quit posting inappropriate links, and if he can\'t start listening to the warnings, he may experience a timed ban. I am not impressed with Sarah\'s topic of conversation regarding bodily functions and she has also been warned about that in the past.

If people are using \"being drunk\" as an excuse, sorry then if they can\'t control their behaviour due to being drunk, perhaps they shouldn\'t be in chat. Even Fisher can behave when he\'s been drinking so it\'s no excuse for anyone else.

Bee will behave if he\'s told to--at least he will if he knows I\'m getting ticked.

I don\'t care if some ppl think our channel is too strict. I want our channel to be a place where anyone can chat, and one that remains somewhat productive, not one that degenerates into some kind of sewer pit. It is possible to have fun without swearing or sexual stuff.

Anyhow...that\'s my take on it....and I added a new emoticon btw /stare.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(stare)\' /> I think it fits this thread quite well.

lol yes it is, and that \"sex me with a cookie\" is auto for bee, was a little xt gimick that i think we should remind him to add it to on *:#extremeteam thingy, to save any more confusion, but ada\'s right, just tell him where to go and he will, in a sense, he likes to complicate situations with big words and sentences then shows he doesnt actually care, but josh you have the power to ban them, of course if you give them a warning then i think its fine, at least then you have something to go back on later if they argue they didnt get one etc

Ok well with things like that, just devoice, kick, or just plain ignore them, its probably actually pointless to try ban, still having all those +e\'s so many people that arnt on op lists could easilly beat it, perhaps we can talk about removing them later because they arnt really needed, but theres no real wrong reason, i guess its more if your feeling uncomfortable with whats being talked about, i know you dont want to sound like the growly dragon (that in no way points to shy, because shes never growly /blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> ) but i mean you gotta weigh up whats worse, You getting a small earful of crap from someone because you were obeying rules, or a cranky with with server power /bigwink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />

I thought I removed all of the non-essential excepts, but if I haven\'t that can easily be remedied. (muah) If people give you a rough time for enforcing the guidelines, send them to me. /blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

Never really used quotes, too much work, lol, okay, now...

I honestly didnt think that we were doing that much damage or harm.. or disruption by what we were doing, but i understand how it could, and im sure it could be toned down a notch (or twenty).

And... being drunk... or drugged... or whatever isnt an excuse, i tend to be pretty hammered most early mornings but i have never... once... used it as an excuse for my behavior... i have jokingly used it as an excuse for not thinking... but i dont beleive it to be an excuse for your actions. If you dont think you can handle yourself in that manner than you really shouldnt be using the net let alone being in the KG room.

It sounds like i missed out on a majority of what else happened this morning, but by the sounds of it things were getting pretty out of hand, just so the staff know, if anyone thinks im taking things a bit too far, or taking things a little too much to heart, dont hessitate to let me know, im not the kind of person whos gunna burn you for letting me know, lol. Id much rather kill the weed at its root than try and deal with it when its too late. (As seems to be the case here ,lol... unless i am much mistaken).

As for the Innuendos, most of them werent even that, pretty much all i saw were blatant, and unnuendos refers to something... er... subtle and kinda sarcastic. lol.

I cant really think of how to end this so ill just sign off here /blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />.

Unfortuantly I have not been in the chat room much lately due to school and kg commitments, and certainly i havn't been in as much as on TCN or the old msn days. I have however noted an increase in some of the stupid behaviour when I have been in the room. What started as a few jokes (such as toga) and the like have gone way past the brink of insanity. If we want anyone to take us seriously I think some people need to mature in the chat room. Remember the guidelines, as staff you have the power to moderate the room - a 5 minute devoice may be the perfect way to do this.

Don't be afraid to take an authoritive stance in the chatroom, and if need be consult with one of the admins. Certainly most discussion of a sexual nature is not suitable for the chatroom, so try steer clear of that. Also, remember to try and accomodate new members/users into the chatroom - I have often seen staff and members carry on with their own private convos excluding the new person who has nfi was a "toga" is.

I have noticed a lot of increasing sexual and swearing references in the channel and more than once I\'ve brought king (and mobes) up on it. I also feel it shouldn\'t be night\'s job to watch over us, we have an ample amount of sops and, granted some may be away, most of the time there is usually at least one watching. Ada you mentioned guidelines but apart from the forum guidelines there are no strick chat rules posted (bar the server ones themself). Maybe we should think about adding this (yeah yeah august is busy already) sometime soon.

I just say \"Please follow the forum guidelines in the chatroom as they apply to chat also.\" and crap like that...

As for the 5 minute devoice, does somoene have a (I think it\'s called) a userlevel to auto devoice them when they do the damn /hop? Cause all the other times I\'ve devoiced I\'ve been just pressed the up key and pressing enter to devoice them again lol

I still think maybe NightStorm could PM one of the sop people in the room who he knows is responsible enough to handle the room about it getting out of control. Even if the staff member is out of control too. I don\'t think it is right (like the rest of you) for him to be monitering the KG Chatroom. =x
