KillaNet has begun the planning process for Digital Storm LAN 2008. The next event, scheduled for the summer, will be held in a community venue located in the Vancouver or Burnaby area. Several sites are on the list of possibilities, but finding the best venue for the tournament may take a bit of time. We are hoping to make the 2008 LAN bigger and better than the last one, with more games, more tournaments, and more prizes. Our first sponsor has already been confirmed - GameXplore - this is their first time sponsoring the LAN, and we are pleased to welcome them aboard. Anyone who is interested in becoming a sponsor for Digital Storm can contact us via sponsorship [at] killanet [dot] net.

At this point in time, Digital Storm will be a WCG Canada qualifying location - have you gone and voted in the WCG Game Poll for 2008?

The official Digital Storm 2008 website will be going live some time in January 2008, when you will all be able to sign up to receive newsletter updates, sign up for the tournaments, reply to threads and meet the other gamers who plan on attending. In the meantime we have an awesome info page up on the site, designed by one of KillaNet's newest members, Matthew Egan, owner of Egan Film.

Get your game on - and be ready for the Storm.

Looks like DSL 2008 will be pretty hardcore this year! A huge praise goes to Matthew for that awesome temporary landing page for DSL's website!

I wish I could say more about our #1 choice for a location, but I won't know for certain until January, as there are a few people involved in approving the event for that location. I can say this about the location though. It is a kickbutt place, it is part of the digital media industry, and there is no other facility like it. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
