I'm not sure how long I can keep up with this project, but I really would like to do it. lol. This is only about 20 minutes work so far.

was doing some testing with how I can make it look like realistic fish skin/scales... and here's what I came up with. This is his right fin at 100% zoom.

This is looking really nice Josh. I'm not sure where your "light source" is; IMO the fins need some kind of shadow, or on the lower part of his face.

I forgot to update this thread when I got the eye finished.. I'll do that tonight.
I'm having lots of problems with blending colors. Does anyone know any digital painting techniques I can use so I can blend colors better? Right now I'm using a method that is frowned upon big time -- Blocking in color and then using the smudge tool to move colors and blend them together.
