okies, back again- must be the cookies.
I've been talking in the room recently with a few of you about sageweb and the layout. i want to make it stand out a whole lot more, look a whole lot more 'professional' and appealing. the graphic ive come up with might not fit that bill, but with a little help from you guys, i'd like to see where it'll lead me.
when i make a webpage i usually find a graphic, or part of an image i like and work from there, trying to build a page from it. Thats why theres only one image to look at so far. I have a rough idea of how i would like to layout the rest of the page (main text and links etc) but would first like to invite you guys to mess around with what i came up with.
The ripple image i created was originally in this color: http://www.sage-web.com/1sageweb.jpg but i later changed it to a red: http://www.sage-web.com/1sageweb2.jpg.
right now i think this will make the site too dark, although who knows what the hubby might like in the end. im shooting for a lighter green color, but like i said, who knows what he might go with in the end.
The main problem right now is that when i put this image onto a page it wont blend in with the background color. i tried selecting an area , and smuding the outlines, but still its outlines are too harsh and stand out. Any advice on how better to blur this into the background, or a suitable background would be much appreciated.
I'm not to sure if i posted this in the right area, so if you do move this thread, please let me know where you put it as i still get lost around here! lol.
i look forward to hearing your critique and seeing what you might be able to do with it in your spare time.
thanks again
