Ok, I haven't made a poll in forever and I'm not going to this time either. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> Instead I'll just leave it to a more open "post what you think" style...a little curious what other people would do in the situation that occurred in this article.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say a homeowner shot and killed a man who had broken into his northwest Charlotte house on Tuesday.

The homeowner, who was not identified, told police he had returned home and saw a black Dodge Stratus in his driveway. The side door of the home also had been kicked in.
Deputy Chief David Graham said the home's owner went inside the residence where he confronted the intruder and ordered him to lay down. But the man instead moved toward the homeowner, who then shot him at least once with a handgun. The homeowner then dialed 911, police said.

Snow said her neighbor had been out of work recently recovering from knee surgery.
Personally, I would have done exactly what the guy in the story did, no question. I don't think that he was in the wrong especially given that the guy advanced on him. Of course, I live in Virginia, US so the laws are a bit different than say Texas, Seattle, or another country.
