Arcade -an idea

I love the addicting games in the arcade - they're the kind i can play! none of this silly game control stuff with fifty buttons just to move forward.
anyway, all the games are simple - which i think is what makes them so addicting and i was talking to rift last night coming up suggestions for games. now i have no concept of how much coding it would take to make something like sheep jumper but between the two of us i was sure we could come up with something.
now i know theres a constant ongoing project to create a major role playing game that would generate money for the forum, but in the meantime i wondered if making our own games would be a good idea - a hobby not a requirement.
maybe we could have a "member created" games section?
i imagine there would have to be some disclaimer similar to those seen in the front of books stating "any resemblence to another game is purely coincidence" or something to that affect. but the games would be (i assume) free to play so even if i make sheep leaper and the creators of sheep jumper say i stole their idea, seeing as im not profiting from it then i doubt it would cause to many problems.
we could think of it as practice and a way of attracting another industry to the forum. we already have the coders, the graphic artists, writers, web page developers and now we could include game developers.
lemme know what you think.
