Cooperative Linux is the first working free and open source method for optimally running Linux on Microsoft Windows natively. More generally, Cooperative Linux (short-named coLinux) is a port of the Linux kernel that allows it to run cooperatively alongside another operating system on a single machine. For instance, it allows one to freely run Linux on Windows 2000/XP, without using a commercial PC virtualization software such as VMware, in a way which is much more optimal than using any general purpose PC virtualization software. Well if you want to run win32 software wouldnt wine or similar linux software help, instead of mixing 2 os's?

wine only works to an extent. it's designed to emulate predefined types of code, not all programs will work under wine. I think I'll try and download this version of linux too, since im constantly coding, it will be nice to be able to run it into the linux environment to test a program and make it cross compatible, instead of having a dual boot or two machines. thanks for the info =)
