My turn
1. We won\'t be getting rid of inactive members. Part of the problem has been the amount of downtime we\'ve had, which will hopefully be coming to an end soon.
2. How many jobs are really out there and assigned? Let\'s review.

KillaNet layout-vulture and myself working with exile\'s layout-it\'s getting there, but it effects the progress on all of the KN subdomains
KillaNet index page-me, working from exile\'s layout-might be finished today
Smiley Generator-vulture and myself-operational, but working on the layout
Tutorials: script is installed, still working on the css & moving the tutorials over. More tutorials are always welcome.
The following subdomains have scripts and content (or require user posted content) but need the KN css:
Reviews, Writers, FunStuff, Directory, TopSites, Features, Gallery (different from the forum gallery, I\'ll explain later), Mentors, News
The following sites are still having content developed & require the KN css:
Affiliates, Advertising, Gaming, Reference (vercz I\'ll be needing that software list soon), Marketplace
A short url redirector: we have the script, still deciding on if we wish to start it up again.
Then there are all of the staff sites. How is everyone\'s coming along? I know mine is empty, but that\'s slated for working on this weekend.
Downtimes have not helped us in the least, but we have to work around it and use the downtime to work on everything we possibly can when the server is down. I spent my time working on content, finding content, searching for income generating programmes and on grant stuff....how did you spend yours?
So you see, while it may appear to be going in all directions, it\'s not. Everything is intertwined in one way or another. Once the css is done, everything will go up rather quickly.
Not too long ago, several people were assigned different areas of the forum to look after: Paint Shop Pro, Modding, Skinning, etc etc etc....are those assignments being kept up with?
The reason I don\'t give many details on some projects is because I would rather see what the person doing the project comes up with. Yes it could help avoid some confusion, but I don\'t mind if anyone asks for clarification on certain points. You\'re all creative-minded people, I want you to create

We will start an affiliation programme as soon as we\'re more operational. I don\'t want to really start promoting until we have more sites working with content. I\'ve asked for input on content and structure, and alot of the time I get excuses on why stuff can\'t be done by certain people, or why stuff is delayed, or a myriad of other things. Alot of you work diligently until the project is done, some don\'t.
I don\'t like to pressure people, but I do like it when tasks assigned are followed through with, it makes our jobs much easier. It\'s a waste of our time to constantly have to ask for progress reports, or chase down files and psd\'s. I don\'t have the time for it, and alot of times I forget. (which is why we\'re getting a project manager script)
We have income generating programmes to add, which can\'t be done until sites are working.
What it boils down to is...there is a small group of us trying to accomplish a lot. It will take time as we all have lives. If you take on a project, or are given a task, no matter how small it is, please follow through. If you have something you can do and would like to contribute with, please do. These sites are a group effort...and the goal is to turn this into a fun place yes, but also one where money is to be made. Those who contribute scripts, software, models, graphics, or other work that is sold will be making money.
You are all aware of areas that need contributions: the marketplace, ecards, tutorials, downloads; if you want to make things for any of these sections, please do. If you want to work on content for a site, please do. If you want to manage a site, let us know. Anything for the marketplace must be work of quality and original, and will work on a commission basis, with the majority going to the creator. Eventually you may all have the opportunity to have your own storefront. This will mean that you can sell your own creations, make your own money, and make use of our payment systems. All you will have to do is pay the transaction fees and a small fee for the space used. Other graphics sites do this very successfully, there is no reason why we can\'t offer it as well.
NightStorm-don\'t worry about appearing to be inactive...you keep us online and functioning, that\'s the most important \"job\" of all

KillaNet, for all intents and purposes is a business. I can\'t always wait around for files and such when things have to get done. If I need something done, I will let you know if it needs to be done right away. Case in point, the site banners I asked for over the weekend, I said no rush, by this week\'s end would be fine. Other times if I ask for files, it\'s because I need them; not having them holds up production in many areas.
Participation may be optional, but if you take on a project, then the responsibility to see it through and provide the files needed is not optional, it\'s necessary. If people are depending on files, scripts, content, whatever and you\'re the one who\'s got them, then progress is being held up until the person responsible for them sees the project and subsequent transfers or uploads through.
This network will *never* turn into another site like xt. I\'ll delete it all if it does. It\'s a huge project yes, but not one that we aren\'t capable of managing. Yes I push the envelope alot, you\'ll get used to it. I will not, however, ever ask more of anyone in the way of time than I am willing to put in myself. As a part of this group, you are free to participate...or not; it\'s up to you. But remember, you will get back from it what you put in. Sometimes it will be the satisfaction of something well done, sometimes it will result in monetary rewards. Either way, it\'s up to each of you to decide on your courses of action.
