Well, I\'m not a patient type of guy to wait and see who else replies...
It was Pink Floyd, and it was in 1975.
Great movie, too...
So, do I get to ask the next question, or how does this work?

Sorry... didn\'t notice that until I saw you point it out in #opers.
In 1975, it would have been Dark Side Of The Moon.
The movie was also financed by Led Zepplin, and George Harrison, for an added bonus to make up for it.

Here\'s a hint...
"----- Don\'t Go"
The blank is the name of a member of the band in question. Since I tossed a hint, you need to also explain what the tribute was about.

Wasn't it "Keith don't go".
Something about Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones (guitarist?).
Not sure why though, didn't it have something to do with his heroin addiction?

Yep... that was when everyone was sure that Keith was going to OD... so the song was a dedication to Keith Richards of the Stones.
Bonus question... what band did Nils Lofgren take part in during the early \'80s?
