One of our Partner Sites, SmileyGenerator.us (the source for many of our fantastic forum emoticons) is going to release a compilation cd of all their smiley designs, and they need a case insert & cd label.

So here are the guidelines:

1. Text Info:

5000 Images Brought To You By SmileyGenerator.us

Our largest collection ever of smileys and related images in 77 categories.

5000Images Personal Edition ©2005 smileygenerator.us
All Rights Reserved
No Public Display Or Redistribution Of This Collection Without Explicit Permission

-----------------------

2. Design is to be of professional appearance and uncluttered.

3. Designer's name to be incorporated somewhere in both designs. Real name or screen nick, that's up to you. These cd's will be available for purchase offline and online.

4. These labels will be printed on inkjets, so 4 colours plus black, RGB or CMYK 200-300ppi resolution. Allow for 1/4 inch possible bleed.

5. You may use some of the SmileyGenerator's emoticons in your design. Click here to get to the cd site or you can visit their main site here

6. You may enter as many times as you like. Attach only a preview of your design in this thread, not the raw psd files.

7. The competition will run for two weeks, starting at the posting of this thread. This competition is open to all Staff and Members of KillaNet/KillaGraphix. We will hold a poll vote as per our other contests, but the ultimate decision on the winning design from among the top designs will belong to the owner of SmileyGenerator.us and their decision is final.

8. The raw .psd files for the winning design will become the property of SmileyGenerator.us but in no way will the original design be altered by them to change or remove the designer's name or original design concept. The raw .psd files must be received by Adaera within 48 hours of the contest closing or the winner will forfeit to the second place entry. The winner will be given an email address to send the .psd files to.

9. The winning design will receive a copy of the completed CD and the first publicly released KillaNet Technology Ltd. company shirt with "Graphics Design Competition Winner" under the logo. One other prize in the form of a book may be added before contest closing.

10. Please note, that your real name and mailing address will have to be supplied to Adaera in order to receive the prizes.

Good Luck everyone and have fun. /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Also, its not "perfect" but roughly the size of a cd label is 526px by 526px, thats for a 700mb 80min

If you all require the size of a CD label and case blank, I can upload a copy that you can use for posting of your entries... it will include the proper locations for the case 'folds', and the CD center cutout.
In fact, I think I'll go grab my copy right now.

Also, Nero offers a demo version of their cover designer program as a part of their package. You should be able to download a copy from http://ww2.nero.com/us/neroue-prog.php and use that to design your winning entry. /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

I like the basic layout and colors..

I don't really like the smileys you chose at the top though.

I think we probably have something with better geometric symetry than those ones in our collections. /bigwink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />

Also, I think if someone does purchase the CD, "get your copy now" wouldn't quite be suitable.
It'd be fine for the shrink wrap packaging but you should think of it as something you already own, somehow reflecting your good taste and good fortune in making the purchase!

Thanks for giving it a shot this far though /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
