After downloading and using the Google© Talk BETA, I was not very impressed. As a matter of fact, I did not find it useful at all. When I first opened it after the install, I found the design to be clean, but too ordinary, kind of like Google© is over using the main color scheme on everything they produce. From the original Google© search engine to the GMAIL BETA, and now the Google© Talk BETA, it all looks the same. For the size of the program, which is around 1 Megabyte, it using about 10 Megabytes of resources, which in my opinion is outragious. Although the voice quality is quite good, I feel it is trying to be too much like Skype©. The only thing that is missing is a multi-user conference, if it had that, it would be an exact copy of Skype©. The only other thing, besides the quality of the sound, is that there are none of those anoying emoticons(smilies).

I like it. It's simple and isn't bloated like MSN Messenger or any other IM's. How much resources do MSN, Yahoo, and Skype take up? :\
