Runtime Revolution updates Arcade Engine

Runtime Revolution and Debrille Software have updated the Arcade Engine for Runtime Revolution, which helps software developers create 2D games for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

A free update for Arcade Engine 1.x users, the new 1.5 release includes polygon-to-polygon collision management, line intersection and segmentation points (used for RPG map creation, for example), point-in-polygon testing, left, right or online testing, a reworked interface, improved documentation and an example project.

Arcade Engine costs US$49; for a limited time it’s free with purchases of a new Runtime Studio license. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.0.3 or later, 128MB RAM and 50MB hard disk space.
