[color="green"]Yup, i wrote an elegy!

here it is:

[quote name=\'Elegy\']On that day, that fateful day,
Your life was taken away,
September never looked so grey.
A brush of cold, swept afar
Extinguished the flame, in the warmest of hearts.
A desperate act, by desperate people.
Was that what it took to tear us apart?
Not to our honour, never will we yield.

A life cut short, words left unspoken.
Art that was never hung.
A photo that was never taken.
A people in mourning, a people were stung.
Their life is their art, a photo and more
To show, to embrace and praise their valour.

A hero is not defined, by where they come from.
Nor their religion, skin tone or gender.
A hero is defined by what sets us all apart,
A hero is defined, by the size of their heart.

ok backstory; this was for my literature class... and it was a tribute to 911... did anyone pick that up whilst reading? or if you read it again, will more stand out?

just things id like to know, to improve the piece... as it is still something i feel deeply for

September was a huge clue, along with "tear us apart" and "desperate people"

The only thing can think of that was missed was something about children unborn - there were a few expectant mothers who died in the towers.

As I've said before, your writing skills have grown in leaps and bounds, Vercz..good on ya <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Weird that is. But it reminds of something. I let you know when I figure out what it is reminding me of...
