Hey everyone, Ive been working on an image that my friend is getting turned into a viynl print for use when his band plays gigs. This is more of a question than a finished work. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could improve the look of the bloody splatters to give them a more relistic look. Ive tried using the plastic wrap tool in this example. Any comments on the rest of the image are welcome too, I think its pretty much done except for the blood Im on about.
I'll have to link you to the image as its a large one and so will scroll the board.

I'd say make it a little bit less shiny and maybe even a little bit darker.

Try using Liquify, and as R4ptor suggested, less shine. Did you put the bigger splatters on a different layer? If so, try experimenting with the bevel effects, different blending modes such as Hue, and the second one in the list just under Normal (I just woke up, can\'t think of the mode name). I feel that the bigger splatters to the left obscure the name too much, maybe try adjusting the opacity as well.

I agree with ada in the fact that the blood on the left makes the text kind of hard to read. What i would do is just move it completly. Maybe under the text. I really like the font you used though, It works well with the theme. And also i think that there is too much empty space. Im not sure if you meant to do that but i would crop out all the empty black that isnt being used. Great work though

I agree with both the above. It looks really cool but I couldn't tell what the text was saying. There is a little bit of empty space yes, but in a buddies record band sometimes it does stick out. Check what I am doing for a buddy of mine called Social Fury.

It is under contruction but that's beyond my point. If it is a metal hardcore band then ya, blood and gore is the way to go (if they are really into that and if they're music is about death or so).

Thanks for the feed back, I showed it to my mate and he wants a few things changing on it anyway, so the next version will probably be a bit differant. I hear what your saying about the text, I like that font, but most of the time I use it people tend to say its hard to read, I dont think the blood covering it in this one is doing it any favours either.
Thanks again for the help
