Seems as though FFXII will be based on the world of Final Fantasy Tactics; but not at the same time (Ivalice). Rumours state that the world will be in a different time period than FFT (seems obvious to me, anyways). The characters look a little..uhm...interesting (just look at Vaan to see what I mean). Supposivley, the world itself will be rather large and it\'ll bring back some of the favorite things about previous Final Fantasy games while introducing entirely new aspect as well. I don\'t know but the Battle System seems to no longer be Active Timed Battles (like in the past where it\'s somewhat turn-based). Square Enix probably took a lesson from Valkyrie Profile\'s battle system, which is awesome in my opinion.

So what do you all think about it? Some hardcore Final Fantasy fans are worried that it\'ll ruin the \"history of Final Fantasy\" -- and others (like myself) wonder if there will ever be a [b]Final[/b] Fantasy.. (not saying the games are bad - but 12 sequels to one game is a little crazy lol).

They\'re not sequels, the only Final Fantasy game to be graced with a sequel is FFX (FFX-2) (huh). I really do hope that they keep some sort of ATB system in FFXII, it has become a part of Final Fantasy in my opinion and it would be sad to see it leave and become like FF: Crystal Chronicles which, by the way, was a major let down for me and my friends. Don\'t forget some of the early FF titles, they had \"sequels\" too (Mystic Quest, Adventures). But I didn\'t like Crystal Chronicles that much myself, either. It was fun for multiplayer, but that\'s just about it. I don\'t mind the Valkyrie Profile battle system, it wasn\'t ATB but it was interesting regardless. FFX was just traumatizing to me (I hated the skill system lol). I enjoy the earlier FF titles like 2-6 (US/NA). FFXII seems to be crazy in aspect to other offline FF games.

FFX is the best Final Fantasy ever made in my opinion, the sphere grid was weird but it was interesting and enabled you to fully customize all your characters the way you desire, which is a good thing right? /blum.gif">http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons//blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

I guess I\'m too used to \"old school\" game mechanics for FF games. Summoning, Unlocking Skills depending on which level you are and how many points you have, Finding the summons or \"unlocking\" them by beating the crap out of them http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons//happy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'^_^\' />, and ATB. Though, I am a fan of Valkyrie\'s odd battle system - made me leap for joy to play a game that wasn\'t ATB but didn\'t want me to shoot myself at the same time.
