MGS3 release date announced
Hopefully you\'ve saved up enough holidays, and if not you\'d better start putting in some serious overtime hours, because March is shaping up to be a month that you really can\'t afford to spend at work. Not only is the unstoppable Gran Turismo 4 powersliding onto shelves on March 10th, but Konami\'s critically acclaimed and highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will also be slithering into stores just a week later on the 17th!
Not only that, but us Aussies (and our fellow PAL gaming brethren) will receive additional game enhancements not seen in the North American and Japanese versions of the game!
In readiness for the March release, series creator Hideo Kojima has again added a number of new ideas to the PAL versions of the game, similarly to when MGS2: Sons of Liberty was released locally. Australian and New Zealand gamers will get more Snake for their money than their US and Japanese counterparts in the form of four key new features.
As previously announced, PAL versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will feature a new DUEL MODE which allows players to battle through the games Boss Fights independently, and details the rich variety of adversaries Snake faces during the course of the game. A DEMO THEATRE has also been created, and can be used to play the games stunning link sequences in order to enjoy the many dramatic plot twists in order.
Australian and New Zealand gamers will also enjoy a new European Extreme difficulty level, which is designed for hardened veterans of Snakes jungle environment, while there are two new levels in the light-hearted Snake Vs Monkey mode, wherein the Metal Gear Solid hero finds himself chasing and trying to catch errant monkeys! The PAL version will also feature many face paint designs not seen in the existing versions of the game, while the winning designs from Konamis global camouflage creation competition will also be included.
So there you have it, March is set to be a month spent fine-tuning cars and playing with your Snake. Thus we declare March \"The Month of Man\"!
