Exclusive Predator screens uncloaked
The last time we saw Predator: Concrete Jungle was May last year (at E3), but since then it has disappeared from our gaming radar. But like the creature itself, it was just patiently lying in wait, biding its time until the moment was right to strike. That moment is now.
Okay, we may be over dramatising it, but things did go a bit quiet for a while. So we\'re glad that Pred\'s first PS2 outing hasn\'t left the planet altogether. As you\'ll see from our exclusive screens below (did we mention they were exclusive?), Predator: Concrete Jungle follows the crab-faced killer back to 1930s Chicago, where it (we\'d bet a \'he\' actually) faces off against a violent crime boss, bent on being the biggest \'predator\' himself.
Flash forward to 2030, and a Predator is now facing a completely different kind of cityscape, complete with hi-tech security and cyborg cops, as it encounters the fledgling Weland-Yutani empire (the nefarious corporation from Aliens). Two hunts, separated by time, but inescapably linked by¿ well, you\'ll have to play the game to find out.
In both time periods, Concrete Jungle affords the Predator total freedom within the sprawling cityscape. You can explore the city at will and tackle the \'hunts\' as you see fit - sniping unseen from a distant rooftop, or using your cloak to infiltrate a building and get up close and personal with your prey.
Predator: Concrete Jungle is due for an April release, but in the meantime, take a look at those exclusive screens we believed we mentioned...
