Fahrenheit cuts up new screens
Flick through the screens below and we\'ll forgive you for being a bit confused. You see, Fahrenheit\'s a bit elaborate and, well, more than a bit French. Set in a New York blighted by plummeting temperatures and horrified by seemingly random serial killings, the game is a mix of Broken Sword-style investigation and Silent Hill-esque horror. Oh, and did we mention that you\'re the killer?
More precisely, you\'re one of a number of murderers to have viciously lashed out for completely no reason. As Lucas Kane (the guy in the black jacket), you regain consciousness in a men\'s room, only to find yourself covered in blood and standing over a very dead body. With no memory of what triggered the killing, you\'ll have to uncover the truth, while fleeing the overworked NYPD.
The game promises to offer a \'rubber band\' experience, with your actions (do you wash off the blood at the basin, or just stumble out into the packed diner?) noticeably \'bending\' your path through the game. This flexibility will be slightly limited though, with key events used to tie the narrative together. You\'ll also be able to control several of the other characters in the screenshots, and so witness the consequences of your actions as someone else from a different viewpoint. Sheesh.
Arthouse gaming? Looks like it to us, but we\'re still intrigued by playing the part of a murderer on the run. Get your skates on and head over to the game\'s official site for more info.
