PRESS RELEASE
TrainMaster Train Simulator
Product: TrainMaster Train Simulator
Developer: RailDriver (Division of P.I. Engineering, Inc.)
Genre: Train Driving Simulation
Format: PC CD
Release: Q4 2005
RRP: £39.99
Ever expanding UK-based train and flight simulation publisher, First Class Simulations, has struck an exclusive publishing deal for what will turn out to be the successor to Microsoft's prestigious Train Simulator product. Having confirmed that it will not be publishing a sequel itself, Microsoft's Train Simulator has never the less sold over one million units worldwide.
RailDriver, a division of P.I. Engineering, Inc. has been working on TrainMaster Train Simulator for the past two years. They are a US-based company dedicated to professional train driving simulation software and equipment. The tie up with First Class Simulations will see the firm publish the consumer title in both the UK and Scandinavia.
Commenting on the deal, P.I. Engineering's President, Michael Hetherington, offered, "TrainMaster Train Simulator is being adapted directly from our professional train-driving simulation work for railroads such as Union Pacific. The product utilizes the sophisticated rendering capabilities of today's premium graphics engines combined with the accuracy and reliability required by professionals, delivering the most realistic PC-based train-driving experience ever. We chose First Class Simulations because they are well established and know the consumer train simulation market back to front."
Robert Stallibrass, Managing Director of First Class Simulations said, "This deal will broaden our reach into the European train simulation market and further reinforce our position within the simulations market!"
Developers already involved in working on add-on products for TrainMaster Train Simulator include UK-based firms Blue Arrow, European Bahn and Making Tracks.
The product is slated for a Q4 release in 2005.
