Microsoft dismisses Xbox Portable rumors

During his appearance yesterday at the TelecomNext conference in Las Vegas, Microsoft Entertainment & Devices President Robbie Bach dismissed rumors (see our previous coverage) that Microsoft would be selling a portable version of the Xbox.
When asked about those rumors, Bach had this to say:

I was like, hmm, that's interesting, I wonder what that's all about. We get a lot of random speculation, more in the past. There will be more of that. There isn't anything specific to talk about.[/i]
That doesn't sound like an outright denial to us, but maybe it's just wishful thinking on our part. What about you folks?
