Hey all, I came across this game over at Best Buy. This game I have never seen before and it looks nice but I didn't buy it because Counter-Strike Source and DoD Source was calling my name. Same price as CS: Source but anyways does anyone have this game and is it worth buying? Its called Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth and was made by bethesda (Oblivion Makers). Here is the website: http://www.callofcthulhu.com/
So go check it out.

NOTE* WARNING: This game does contain a LOT of violence and graphics and is not appropriete for children 17 and younger.

ALRIGHT PPL, I actually bought the game and let me tell you what the game is close to about.

Call of Cthulhu is actually a First Person Shooting game that is based on the 1920's. It is a horror/mystery game and has an ok atmosphere. The gamescreen is a bit film grained which is actually really cool and the character you play as is a mental patient who is a detective. He has nightmares over and over again and from time to time, can see through other people's eyes. This is very helpful for when you are stuck and also you will get paranoid in the game as something will show up at a certain spot and when you look there, there is nothing, but yet you are being watched in that area.

The first mission is yet a weird, boring, but yet exciting case. You have to be clever and also you will have to think quickly as you must menuver quickly from place to place in order to not be spotted. The aiming is a downfall as there is no cross arrow so you have to go based off your instincts. You can do a dead aim but after a while of holding the gun, your arms do get tired and also if you get shot in the arm and your bone pops out, your aim sucks so good luck with that.

As for the graphics, they really do suck in character modeling and texturing as some graphic spots just do a run on. But the way the gameplay and with all the gore, I would recommend the graphics being like this as there are some really REALLY graphicy stuff in the game that can make your stomach upset. That is later on in the game though. You having to find out what to do and where to go is kind of unique on how they work that whole mystery thing. The storyline is also unique and you are always wondering what's going to happen around this corner and that corner. Sometimes stuff will pop out at weird, not so pop out places but hey, what can ya say, SCARY.

The Boss in the game that I fought was quite hard and unpleasant. They can do a better job at placing bosses and their strengths.

I have still not beaten the game as I'm at war with those slimy things but hey, gotta keep it up ya kno. PEACE
