This year's Guild Wars Hallowe'en Event was my first "seasonal" special event in the game, and I had alot of fun. The Mad King is very aptly named /blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
Here are some screenshots from the events in both Lion's Arch (Prophecies Chapter) and Kamadan (Nightfall Chapter). There was no Hallowe'en event in Kaineng Centre (Factions). Players were able to get special potions from the Necro Horsemen who appeared as Collectors. The same items could be won from playing games and entertaining the Mad King. Players in Lion's Arch were further rewarded with Pumpkin Heads, while players in Kamadan received Witch Hats.

Did anyone take screenshots of getting the Mad King's Guards to join your party? I forgot LOL...oops...although I think Mike might have one or two.

I forgot to grab screenies, but they sure as Hell beat down any of the henchies. These ones were active L12 Necros (even as Candy Corn men), and would raise a bone horror from any dead enemy as soon as it hit the dirt. At one point, I was exploring outside LA with 4 Guards and a healer, and we ran into a mass of Tangu's (like seriously... dozens of them) and kicked their feathery little asses with the 6 of us and a dozen undead horrors. It was great... for every red dot on the compass that disappeared, it was replaced by a green one.

I didn't get to attend any of it

/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> I got to see it in Lion's Arch the first night they put up decor though. Other than that I was stuck either cleaning or doing homework. No witches brew for me

The Mad King's Guards as Henchies... smarter and better than the real ones. Whereas the real Henchies will cast FireStorm a whole half-second before the last monster hits the dirt, these Candy-Corn creatures are massively kickass.

Tell the truth....the foes saw an army of candy corn creatures coming at them, and they died

And then we turned their spines into minions. Yes, it's true.
I had to eventually just close the game... I was gonna play until my first death, and it just never came, no matter how many monsters we ran into.

When you have a swarm of trolls and the henches are useless, a meteor shower comes in pretty handy.

/bigwink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />
But yeah, my primary char is Ranger/Fire Ele.
Head into a mass, cast Fertile Season, pick a group, cast FireStorm, once they recluster, cast Meteor Shower to do the Distraction and group damage, and pick off the outside of the cluster with conjured flame on the bow.
It also helps now that I can send the Henches into the middle as a "distraction", so to speak.
