[url=\"http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/\"]DarkPlaces[/url] is a modification of the free software Quake engine. It adds enhanced network code, with asychronous delta compression inspired by Tribes networking, a built in server browser, real time lighting and bump mapping and makes use of the OpenGL Shading Language.
