SAN JOSE, Calif. Oct. 14 — Adobe Systems Incorporated has shipped Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Windows and Macintosh, a major upgrade to the company's consumer photo editing software. Photoshop Elements 3.0 software delivers new ways to share, organize and edit photos, allowing people to review, compare and enhance photos and create dynamic slideshows and personalized creations.

Also today, Adobe announced the immediate availability of Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 Plus Adobe Premiere Elements in a single retail package for Windows. Combined in one package, these products deliver the powerful software customers need to easily blend still photos with video clips. Users can now create slideshows and video projects that can be burned to DVD and viewed on a TV screen.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Windows XP (Home, Professional, Media Centre with Service Pack 1) is available in the United States and Canada for an estimated street price of $139.99 (Cdn.). Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Macintosh is available in the United States and Canada for an estimated street price of $125.99. Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 Plus Adobe Premiere Elements is available as a bundle in the United States and Canada at an estimated street price of $179.99.

Owners of previous versions of Photoshop Elements can upgrade to Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Windows for $79.99 (U.S.) and $69.99 (U.S.) for the Mac with an in-box mail in rebate.
