(Milford, CT) - Residents of Milford, CT are fearful after a brazen daylight heist of priceless finger paintings from a local kitchen. Eyewitnesses said they saw two armed men running away from the scene shortly after the robbery was reported.

Five year old finger painting prodigy Michael Wallace donated the paintings to his family refrigerator last week, and people have been coming from as far away as three blocks over to admire his precocious talent.

"He's just so talented, that boy is," says 85 year old neighbor Laura Wilkerson. "He comes over once a week and gives me a new painting. I give him a Werther's Original and a quarter. I think it's obvious who's making out in that deal."

The centerpiece of the Wallace refrigerator collection was "The Doggie", a likeness of Michael's dog Cocoa Puffs. According to those that viewed it prior to the robbery, it was commonly described as "definitely looking like a doggie."

Michael says he thinks he knows who's behind the robbery. "Sharon [Michael's eight year old sister] says Mommy likes me better cause I can paint. She said she was going to throw away my paintings."

Detectives looked in nearby trash bins, but were unable to turn up the missing artwork, and are now leaning hard on Michael, operating on the theory that he stole them himself, in order to collect the insurance money.

"That kid's pretty tough to crack, especially for a five year old. Thus far, we've only been able to get him to admit to wetting the bed and being a member of al Qaeda. We're confident that we'll figure out what he did with the paintings."

Wallace's parents have appealed to "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh to help solve the heist. They describe the paintings as "more valuable" than any of their possessions, with the possible exception of Mrs. Wallace's birth control pills.
