i followed another tutorial today [url=\"http://www.good-tutorials.com/track/1450\"]http://www.good-tutorials.com/track/1450[/url] to create this, although the tut did miss out some key information that would have saved me time making this (as a complete beginner). anyway , it turned out really well and was soooo simple, surely photoshop shouldnt be so simple?

i entered two this week to make up for chickening out of the last one lol
here are some variations on the text. i applied it to a background made using exiles string tutorial, and using different overlays - normal, overlay and color burn. i thought the effects were interesting so ive posted them here /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

thanks tibs, from what ive figured out so far, the best way to come out with something good is a whole lot of layers, a dollop of fiddling about mixed together with a whole lotta patience. i'm still trying to come up with a website layout, i think i might be missing one of the above ingredients.

Making a website template can be tough, you've really got to be patient as you said. To get the best possible result you can, you've got to want it and be willing to put the time in to achieve it. /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />.. hope that makes sense.
