Life was easy
When i was small
But now that im grown
Its not easy at all

My parents are fighting
I hear them call each other names
Everytime they get mad
Im the one they blame

I hear my mum scream in pain
As she is struck by my dad
I remember thinking to myself
"Boy, he must be mad".

I hear him start to come to find me
My bodt fills with fear
I hear his footsteps stop and think
"Oh,no! hes almost here

The doorknob slowly tunrs around
I dive under my bed
Thats was the moment i realized
That my mum was dead

All went dead quiet
I thought he had gone
I peeked out from under my bed
But oh, had i thought wrong

He grinned an evil grin at me
And grabbed me by the arm
Then i knew there was no way
I could escape his harm

He beat me and kicked me
And threw me onto the floor
And once he was done
He calmly walked out the door

As i lie here bleeding
On the verge of death
I know that i will be with god
So its all for the best

I feel my eyelids start to close
Oh, this must be it
Perhaps when i am up in heaven
