Quite a few words to be added to the kb swearlist, but <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/good.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(Y)\' /> to scotty! I was thinking, perhaps a custom 404 page, with something like \"You\'ve requested a page that doesnt exsist! Or perhaps you spelt the user name wrong, please remember account names are CaSeSenSiTiVe!\" Alot of people may not realise this <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... igwink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' /> umm i had some other ideas, perhaps charging a small amount for a image gallery, like fotobuzz, + extra storage for images, but then i realised that its hard to ask for money when bloody msn are giving it for free as per usual! others to come..

The whole backend needs improving, if you have words to add to the filter, let me know and i\'ll put them in. Definatly need to edit the 404 message, will do that tonight.

On further investigation, a few other things i thought of;
Somewhere on the main kg.com page if you have allready logged in to say who you are logged in as, and also the option whether to remember that login etc.

Like mobes suggested, a new post option on the actual blog
A small notice to say that your new post has been made and/or redirection to your blog to view the post, or a post preview?

I also thought of doing a MS style thing with the swear words and not allowing you to post untill you have removed out the swear words, but here is a list of the words blocked in msn spaces: [url=\"http://www.mess.be/inickforbidden.htm\"]http://www.mess.be/inickforbidden.htm[/url] obviously some would be changed, america_online doesnt offend me all that much <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> More when i think of them <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Showing who your logged in as is no problem, can do that now. New post on actual blog - yep, can do tha too.

Not too sure about the swear word thing, I think masking out the words is fine - comments?

Ok, i\'ve fixed a few of them. Shane, would you mind writing a 404 page for kb? Doesn\'t have to be anything fancy - use the example in plesk if your stuck. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Cool sure ill do it; ohh yeah i think masking would be better also, and easier, perhaps i could prune down that MSN word list, then add some \"l33t\" ways of spelling swear words to get around such things? I had another idea, i, shane, am making themes for it atm (still havnt wanted to touch css yet, to many hex numbers drive me crazy cause i dunno what colour they are!) but hoping you have some idea/way of making it so they can choose a theme? also, though on further thinking of this; if say they had one of the premade themes, that it could somehow load the images from the same location, say i if i had it and so did ada, that it would load from /themename/images/raaaaaaaaaa.gif instead of making/sending a new copy to there file? though it would be complicated i guess with the html codes if they were to upload there own etc, then i thought the same for the css, was unsure about that also, just an idea that could perhaps lead to saving space? Meh *starts 404 page*

Lol i know, but i mean, looking at the CSS right, there so many hex numbers i dont know if its the dark blue i was using, or the light cranberry colour i was planning to dye all ada\'s whites with <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> made the 404 page, ada seems to think its fine, i dontlike the wording, its got a bit to much ifeel (like the \"what are you doing here\" though <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />) will fix image when i can; [url=\"http://www.killablogs.com/404.html\"]http://www.killablogs.com/404.html[/url]

Right now we only have one premade theme, when we get some I\'ll work out some way of changing themes.

One thing to watch out for with 404 errors... make sure that they are not bandwidth-heavy... Techgear was taken down that way... massive queries to 404 errors, and it led to bandwidth overages.

404 redone, the only image is that one tiled from the index\'s style sheet <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> ~ Scott, i noticed that on blogs you will post a comment, is there anyway the postdata can be cleared once the post has been re-added, because if refreshed it gets reposted (even though FF givesyoua warning) some other net friends that are comp-illit had double-posted, though NTS if IE gives the same warning <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
