FAQ/Help

I think it would be a good idea if KB had an FAQ or a help page to show new users how to use the system to the full extent.

That's what I intended the big "Support" button on the main page to be for, guess someone got lazy and pointed it at this forum <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

The intention was always to make an FAQ script for kb, haven't had time to get round to it yet. So yes spec, you are correct.

Finally before i go to bed.. before posts start getting deleted will the blog users be notified of when cleanups will happen? because i have pages there that i don't want to lose. theres like a history there. lol. [/b][/i][/color][/font]

Unfortunately if the limit is set too low it will effect a lot of the real bloggers like mobesy.

We have not yet decided how limited KB will be, and it will not be a decision which will be made in the next hour. We will let users know of the limitations before they are applied and we will [b]definatly not[/b] delete posts any time soon.

perhaps if it isnt unlimited we could allow the users to have an archive section that links to their own db or site of previous blogs, themed like their current blog if they wish. i spose they could do that manually though by setting up their layout to include that as a link, <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> maybe an export blog function could be added so it's easier to archive in the future.
just ideas.

That's what I was thinking... Maybe you could export them as a .htm/l file so you could upload it to a site and maybe link to it from your blog... Just some more idea's =)

Yes we still need the FAQ, your efforts to put one together are appreciated. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

As Scott said, there will be a script written for it, for now it will probably be a web page with static content.
