Care to make an icon or banner?

Hi there, I\'ve currently been programming a program that has to do with changing wallpapers (has a lot more to it than just that). Regardless, I think I\'m going to call it \"KillaNet Wallpaper Changer\" or just \"KillaNet Wall Changer\"....

However, I fall short when it comes to making decent graphics for my programs. So if anyone is interested I could use a banner 385 x 81 pixels that has either of the above mentioned titles in it. I also need an icon for the system tray (the group of icons on the lower right side of your taskbar). I\'d prefer to stay away from skulls and guns if possible, but at the same time I\'m not sure how a person goes about making an icon that speaks \"KillaNet Wallpaper Changer\". Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

I\'m sure a few of us can handle the design, so you\'ll have some to choose from. We\'re changing the theme on KillaNet, the skulls & guns will be gone soon enough. Sp3c has made us an awesom phoenix design which is now on some of our other sites and as soon as Jeremy and I have time, we\'ll be changing the skin on this forum to match our new look.

lol Jake, It so happens that I set out to try and learn how to make high resolution XP style icons for the KillaNet software we make.. I have found a table which shows what colors are used in most/all XP icons. (You can find it at the bottom of this post).. The only problem I have is making the actual objects and stuff in the icon, like maybe a Computer monitor, I have no idea where to start when making that.. As of right now I\'m looking for icons too but I would really like if the icons came from the staff here.. I\'m not the best with icon making because I either make them too detailed then when I resize them to go smaller it looks all distorted and bleck. I\'ll see what I can do in PhotoShop, but I can\'t garuntee (sp) anything..

And sure you\'re good at graphics.. That one promo banner you made for Gemini looked really good /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> Especially after you added some depth to it! /good.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(Y)\' />

Yes, with all this graphical talent flying around here, the potential is there to make some sharp looking applications.

Thanks Josh, but compared to some of the signature banners and competition banners I\'ve seen around here, there\'s no comparison.

The banner looks really sharp on the app .... take a look:

hmmm in the screenshot it appears a little blury... however it\'s crystal clear on the app itself /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

Oh and if particular talented individuals are looking at this screenshot and going \"Hey! That\'s the name of a picture I made!\" or \"Hey! that\'s the name of a wallpaper I made!\" .... I have full intention of asking for your permission before I release anything publicly, I just used your pictures for something to test the program with. /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> ... my apologies, I probably should have asked BEFORE I posted a screenshot with them.

Thanks Tibs I really like your images in the gallery and am glad that I can use them in the initial library. This program is designed so that ALL wallpapers in the library will have the artist/author information included right in the wallpaper file. In fact it\'s purpose is to expose the talent of the KillaNet designers.
