hey everyone, some staff members may have heard of this program either through the PM i sent or general discussion in the chat room, i thought it only fair to let the programmers here get an idea of what im working on, basically think of MSN Explorer except for all the serves we offer (are going to offer), it will be sorta a frontend type system which will intergrate everything and its totally gecko powered so none of internet explorers security issues or laggyness.

thats what the login system looks like atm, ive given it display picture support and it allows logins, and the about screen works but atm theres a lot needing adding.

If you have any suggestions etc then let me know

Hi Alex .... I like this idea

/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> ... however, for some reason when I log in it loads preferences and then I get a blank white screen. The window title says "KillaNet - Homepage", but the browser screen is completely white. Anyway, just thought I'd let ya know

I don't know how easy it would be to do, but It would be really nice if the taskbar wasn't hidden when maximising the program.

yea jake its meant to be white cause im still working on the login system, the main bit is still under construction, lol

vulture, im working on it atm, ill see what i can do but if anyone in here knows how to get a maximized frameless window not to go full screen plz let me know

Well you could always go with "Professional" skinning with it, Alex. Use an OCX or something to replace the current titlebar and everything with your custom images

ok ive released alpha 2.0, it uses my own website as the primary server though KN is also avaliable, the reason for this was ada noticed in the logs that the auth process accessed quite a few files in a short space of time meaning it looked like the program was bruteforcing the server when it was just authing and the server locked people out, lol

until all the problems the servers having goes away im gunna use my server for the time being, it aint as fast but it'll do, lol

im still trying to work out how to get it maximized without going full screen, ive got a few ideas but nothing concerete yet though.

current additions include the login system is finished, the options menu has everything added and the account tab shows the users profile.

yey ok ive gotten the maximize thing fixed, it no longer goes to full screen i just finished it, lol

Good job as said in messenger. What if your task bar is different sizes though? Will it still resize correctly? Like let's say my task bar is 10 pixels in height and someone else's task bar is 20 pixels in height...Will it resize correctly to our task bars?

give it a try, it should do, i made it get the taskbar height using API, lol

ok ive released 2.3, this is a major new update, one of the best thing is ive gotten around the auth problems on the KN server, yet it still uses the same auth process, rather then fetch the files off the server individually it fetches a CAB compressed SFX archive and downloads that (not only is it smaller as its compressed it takes less time!), then it uses the DOS expand command (included in the inflate.dll file it requires), and dumps the auths in a temp folder, decyphers the code and tada, it logs ya in, lol

the Inflate.dll provided with it gives it the ability to expand cabinet files

other updates include the program being speeded up at login, the main GUI now works allowing you to select the gecko or IE engine for your default browser as the program supports both rather then just one (default is set to gecko) and the menu system has been added ready to start including the service catagories

I get this error when I try and sign in. Is it just my system missing the dll?

Yes, you have to have the gecko engine installed.

Go to the navigators home page and click the runtime files link.

In the zip it should have an install file. Run that and it should install the gecko engine on your system.
