Meeting Notes

Post by Tami »

All went well...except our sites are icky on a Mac...alot of images do not show up, and KD <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> the slices are all over the damn place <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... #>/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

Anyyyyyyyway

1. I\'m going to ask for a grace period on the rezoning fee-hopefully they will agree to this when they read my reasoning behind the request. The reasoning being

-we are not an arcade (this was agreed to ... wo0t)
-we don\'t own the property (unless I happen to win the lotto)

2. Send a \"preview email\" to all of the councillors with an outline of the presentation

3. Take an info package to the Township prior to the presentation, so that the councillors have documentation in front of them during the presentation

4. Emphasize the current youth involvement & the skills being learned

5. Include information on the global gaming tournaments

6. Include sponsorship plans and any we currently have (like Pearson)

7. Sources of funding

Now for the other part-mugs, mousepads, shirts:

Yes, black/dark-coloured shirts can be done

Karen (my friend who is married to a councillor) will email some prices, the size templates for the designs and a few other things to us either tonight or during the weekend. She also said that they would be interested in selling us the transfer equipment and whatever stock they have at a reasonable price and with a payment plan if necessary. The price we bounced around would be in the $2000.00 range, which is a very good deal; the equipment hasn\'t been used that much, and it would increase our profit margin if we were printing the product ourselves, plus it\'s another bonus on the employment/skills front. We would also be able to offer outside printing jobs--people getting custom mugs/mousepads/shirts done for gifts, etc. plus we could do the printing for Carson\'s designs if he decides to expand beyond greeting cards with his stickman designs.

All in all it was a successful meeting, we\'re gaining support. I\'m also going to set up a meeting with the technology teachers at the two high schools and try to garner their support ... in writing... as well.

Sounds like you're finally making progress. Good work ^.^

As for the Mac issue, can't really do anything about that <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... #>/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

They agreed that we're not an arcade? That's fantastic! It looks like the hard part of the application is over - great stuff!
