Making A Microbe

I will try to show you how to make a weird looking object which has the look of a microbe.
This tutorial is suited for beginners in Cinema 4D who are just getting started and trying to understand the basics.
The main part of this tutorial will be making the microbe. I will add a small one making a cool looking material for the microbe. If you should open a menu by any chance I will show this by using: \" File > Export > STL \"
The only thing I can add to this introduction is that you will learn quite a bit following tutorials, but you will need to expand your knowledge by trying different tools and effects yourself.

First of all start by making a sphere. You can do this by following \" Objects > Primitive > Sphere \" or by clicking on the sphere in the toolbar drop down menu. As you can see here:

You can leave or adjust the settings as you want. I gave the sphere 10 segments. Change the number of segments in the \"Object Properties\" you will get this menu when you initially create the object.

Now you can make the sphere editable. This is done by right clicking the sphere and choosing \" Make editable \" or by typing \" c \".

The following part is selecting the polygon tool in the left toolbar. You can see the button here.

Next step is selecting every polygon. You can do this one at a time or just use \" Selection > Select all \". * You can skip the following step if you wish, but you can use it to make the extensions wilder. *

Now right click on the sphere and follow \" Edit surface > Crumple \". You can adjust the settings to your own liking. You should come up with something like this:

The following step is creating the extensions. Every polygon should still be selected, if aren\'t, just use step 5 again.

The extensions are created using \"Matrix Extrude\". Click right on the sphere and select \" Edit Surface > Matrix Extrude... \". I changed the settings to the ones you see below. Now just press \"OK\"

You should get a nice result. The next step is selecting the HyperNURBS. To do this go to \" Objects > NURBS > HyperNURBS \". Make sure you place the object in the order shown below.
