Cool Star Effect

Post by Baralai »

Hey,
This is not my latest werk http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':o\' /> i did this about a year ago in school this is how i did it
*Note this only werks with cameras that can use a clicker more or less a oldish camera* **And u have to do it at night time**
Get a tripod, put ya camera on it set ur shutter speed to B open ur shutter lens all they way open! (this lets More light in)
Find and Wide open place, where there is NO light for the best effects!!
once done that click the clicker which holds the lense open *important not to move the camera!!!!* and leave it for about and hour or 2 then release the clicker *without movin the camera* and Wala http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':o\' />
*Best times to do it:
•
At night when the moon is only a 1/4

  •
No clouds in the sky

  •
Lots of stars

  •
Open Wide space *For the ultimate Effect*

  •
if you do that you should get this http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

As you can see in th trees it was a bit windy that night, and i had a crampy back yard so its not The ulitmate effect, if you have a huge Area It connects as a circle..
    FAQ:
    1. How is this stars - The world spins Helllooo, since the lense is open its like holding down the button to take the picture.
2.Did you use softwear to make this image - No this is not a modafied picture, i Used a camera ONLY a camera

Hope you like it, the Qulaty Is not that good http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

Looks cool Barali. Its great to se eyou on here again too. Ive not seen you for agies? How are things? The photo effect looks great. Shame I dont have a whizzy camera to do it with http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> And I hear what your saying Drew. Not far from where I live there is a place called Mow Cop, its an old castle, not very big, but right at the top of a huge hill. I go up there sometimes with a few friends for a few beers and these little white stick things. You get a great veiw of the starts from up there. One side of the hill faces the city, the other veiws over countryside so you get a great veiw of the skies from there. Get lots of foxes and stuff up there too. And for all you green concious people out there, dont worry, cus you cant tell we've ever been there cus we take a bing bag for all our rubbish. Country code, leave it as you find it.

[b][i]A complete circle would look pretty cool, but youve gotta set the camera facing the right area of the sky dont you?

I spose if you left it there for about a year you would have something similar to spirals (assuming no one stole it http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />)

Looks good, reminds me of what some of the TV shows do with the video shots of the highways, you know, blurring the headlights and brake lights so they leave huge tails http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />. How do you leave the shutter open?

sorry bout late reply ada http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> im pretty sure you can only leave shutter lense open with and SLR camera like one of these: http://www.camerahouse.com.au/newsite/welcome.asp
Set shutter speed to B (which holds the lense open, if you want to do the star effect or the car one you need a clicker which holds the lense open until you want it closed)
