Over the past few weeks, we\'ve been focusing on the launch of KillaGaming. We\'re all happy with the way KillaGaming is going, and we\'re keen to try and bring more activity to the network and the forums.
We\'ve come up with a few ideas in a quick evening brainstorm, but we want you - the members - to give us your input on what we could be doing better; what we could think about starting; and what we really should think about stopping (hopefully this isn\'t a long list). We\'re after input on anything at all to do with KillaNet, but we\'ve been considering a few specific things, which we want your particular input on. These are:
A KillaNet blog? Much like googleblog, this would be a company blog which all the admins could contribute to. It would include our plans (when they were actually realistic), what we\'ve finished working on and a much more personal feel to KillaNet.
A comic strip? Updated regularly this would be the members chance to draw, colour and make a (clean) joke at the same time.
A contest? A contest for all forum members (although we\'re going to put some limit on this, so only those who\'ve contributed to the community have a shot at the prize). We\'ve had a few ideas about what the contest could be...but lets see what you can come up with.
A newsletter? Should we distribute a newsletter? Monthly? Quarterly? What should be in it?
We\'re open to a lot of suggestions. Any forums you think should be created on KillaGraphix (or KillaGaming)? Any you think should be dropped? Any site which has colours you think should be changed, and changed quickly?
This is your chance to impact what we do around KillaNet, don\'t let it pass without taking advantage of it.

As you can see we\'ve moved the forum to the main killagraphix domain and have added the forum portal. What would you like to see on the portal? A poll? Less links at the top?

I\'ve already given Vulture some ideas that I\'ve had to put on the forum. But here\'s my most recent one. In our tutorials section; When making a new tutorial maybe have a drop down box that lets you specify what the dificulty level for the tutorial would be. Level 0: Beginner; Level 1: Experienced; Level 2: Intermediate; Level 3: Expert.
I\'m going to be really mean and say SKINS rofl even though I know you all are working on new skins and stuff.. Heck we just got our KillaNet Lite! =D
I already coded this... except I don\'t know where it went. On outgoing links from the forum have a frame at the top of the page. Sort of like how hotmail did with their outgoing links in emails. Although we\'d be smart and put a \"Close Frame\" url to get rid of it if someone thinks they\'re annoying. Maybe even put an option to disable them on the forum.

I think on the original killanet skin here on the forums there is a bar that sits at the top of the page and goes with you down the page as you scroll down. I think it would be a good idea to put that on ALL of the network sites.. It would allow you to get quick access to all of the services the network will be providing or already is providing.
Oh yes, and that killanet blog idea, that is a really good idea. It would keep a lot of people informed whenever you don\'t want to make official announcements about things. I suggest you do that. I\'m assuming this will be a blog with KillaBlogs rofl.
I\'ve noticed that most professional websites have something moving on them. An ad banner, maybe a flash thing highlighting new things that were added to the website.. You think we can get this going? Our websites seem sort of just sitting there. There\'s nothing really to catch the persons eye.

@Bar, we have programmers... scrap the site bar and make FF/IE Toolbars? I seen people make them(for FF anyway) might be easy....

Can someone explain why one needs a shoutbox for a forum? This is just something I\'ve always been curious about... but if we put up a shoutbox to post on, wouldn\'t that attract users AWAY from the forum that we want to be the main focus for this domain?

i've been churning out brush sets and avatars etc lately, what else would you like to see on the downloads section? i know ada wants a bryce cd of textures setc but thas a bit beyond me right now - and i'm still working on a bryce tutorial.

If there isn't one already in place, a comment/suggestion type of forum for "visitors/guests" so they may add their opinion to what they may or may not like about KillaNet. Public response is crucial to any enterprise!!! If there is such a "response" forum already in place, disregard this suggestion.
