What is a phong tag? Also, I\'ve noticed when using the phong tag I get a lot of weird looking shadows/darkened areas on my polys when I add the tag. How do I fix it?

Ok, here we go.
\" The phong tag will usually give your object a smooth appearance. Using this tag won\'t influence the number of polygons an object counts, it will smoothen every angle ( because it assumes all surfaces are alligned. ). By using this tag you will also lower the rendering times and necessary memory to render the picture. \"
