First thing I thought is maybe the fan is hitting something lighty, but yeh I don\'t think thats it, but your right it doesnt sound too good.

That sounds like the fan may have come loose. Try opening up your PSU and tightening the fan a little. My rear case fan did that untill i tightened the actual fan itself.

Keeping in mind computer techs charge amazing amounts of money for amazingly small amounts of work. Most places have a minimum charge of half hours work for anything that needs to be fixed, and most places around here charging about $90/h to fix things. So you just earnt yourself $45

[color=\"green\"]hmm... opened her up this morning, the fan was already tight... so i did a little clean out, get rid of some dust etc, and it works fine now o.0 so uhm... yeah

[color=\"green\"]...quite astute there dren. did you notice my sudden departure from GW? and then my lack of re-appearance all day? lol... well, im pretty sure i blew up my power supply yesterday morning. how? no idea.

i now have an old(er) psu in there, and it seems to run fine... so fingers crossed i wont be blowing any more up. may have a chat with parents, re: upgrade
