Atari\'s Enter the Matrix was certainly an ambitious title, but unfortunately due to the need to rush release it in line with the movie sequels it suffered from quite a few bugs that marred an otherwise enjoyable action adventure in the Matrix universe. Now with the announcement that Shiny Entertainment is hard at work on the sequel The Matrix: Path of Neo, there\'s hope that Matrix fans might finally get the game they want ie. you get to play as Neo, and free from the pressures on development time that a simultaneous film release entails.
The Matrix: Path of Neo will enable players to actually play as \"Neo,\" the central character, and relive his most important and memorable scenarios from all three of the Matrix films. Throughout the game, the path the player takes to resolve each scenario and the resulting consequences will be scripted and directed by the Wachowski Brothers. The likenesses of all of the films\' key actors - including Keanu Reeves (\"Neo\"), Laurence Fishburne (\"Morpheus\"), Carrie-Ann Moss (\"Trinity), and Hugo Weaving (\"Agent Smith\") - will be featured, and footage from all three feature films as well as The Animatrix will be included.
