V8 Supercars? Check. DTM? Check. Monster Trucks? Check. Formula 1?!?? Check. Atari has announced that V8 Supercars 2005, the third game in the blockbuster V8 Supercars series is set to feature none other than the BMW Williams F1TM Team for your racing pleasure, along with the usual phonebook sized list of tournaments, tracks and motorsports.
The game engine has been entirely rebuilt to provide the most explosive damage effects yet seen in a racing game, and like last year\'s edition V8 Supercars 2005 will once again be online for wonderful wreckages on the world wide web. The new Pro Career mode allows you to follow a career in a specialist racing discipline, such as GT, Off Road or Touring Cars, and then make your way through each discipline in a real-to-life manner, for example if you want to make it as an Open Wheel race driver you\'ll start off in humble Go-Kart events before progressing to Formula 1000, then further championships including Formula BMW, Formula 3, and all the way up to join the BMW WilliamsF1 Team!
More than ever before, V8 Supercars 2005\'s stunning physics and damage engine will take real-life racing to the next level. You may have seen realistic speed and acceleration before, but V8 Supercars 2005 accurately simulates full tyre wear, tyre and engine temperatures, fuel consumption affecting weight distribution, and real world engine inertia. This incredible detail is simulated on every vehicle, across the entire range of motorsports featured.
\"V8 Supercars 2005 is a huge project and one we\'ve had in the works for almost a year already. The team are doing an incredible job and taking motorsport gaming to a level that no one else is even touching upon and they\'re doing it to a hugely advanced point. The refined engine will enable players to really thrash the cars and see the real world results of doing so: radiators will overheat, tyres will burnout, engines will blow the works\" said Codemasters studio head Gavin Raeburn.
\"This detail means the actual races become far more exciting and tactical. You may be a good enough driver to get to the front of the pack, but can you stay there when your engine is threatening to rip itself out and theres hardly any rubber left on your rims?\"
Featuring an incredible 35 different motorsport disciplines, motorsports enthusiasts certainly won\'t be left wanting when V8 Supercars 2005 rolls onto the starting grid in October 2005.
