New Gran Turismo 5 Details Emerge

Post by us3rX »

Kazumori Yamauchi, head of Polyphony Digital and the director of Sony’s Gran Turismo series, has already started leaking details about the next installment in the GT franchise. Included with the European Limited Edition of GT4 is a special booklet, whish among other things, include Kazunori's comments about the next game in the series inside.

In Addition to being common knowledge that Gt5 will be a Playstation 3-exclusive title, he goes on to talk about a few key aspects and features that Polyphony will be focusing on with the next game. Some of these features include adding a realistic damage modeling system(which would be both cosmetic and gameplay-affecting), spending more time and effort(and polygons) on making the driver and crowd reactions more lifelike, adding a wealth of custom car modifications and in more broad and general terms, advancing every aspect of the game 100-fold over GT3. Hmm...

We here at PSM would like to formally request she also spends some time working on opponent A.I., since its still one of the weakest features of the game. We wouldn't be surprised to see a running demo at this year's E3, where its rumored the ps3 will be making its debut.

I think having the custom mods, damage modeling, smarter opponent A.I. would be awesome. ^.^
