Future unveils revised publishing structure

Completion of Highbury deal creates additional publishing group

29/06/05 - Future has announced a new publishing structure for its 105 UK newsstand titles, following the successful completion of its deal to purchase 34 UK magazines from Highbury House Communications plc. The enlarged portfolio sees the company introduce an additional, fourth publishing group.

The new structure moves Future's high quality special-interest titles into demographically focused publishing groups. The addition of another group enables Future to channel its growing stable of magazines into four targeted special interest portfolios

Four consumer publishing groups

Future Entertainment – covering games, film, DVD & TV, kids and music listening. Future Entertainment also publishes a small group of specialist B2B entertainment trade titles, overseen by offshoot Future Entertainment Business. Publishing Director, Mia Walter.

Future Technology – covering home entertainment, photography, internet, digital creative and computing. Publishing Director, Dom Beaven.

Future Excite – covering automotive, music-making and sport. Publishing Director, Andy Semple.

Future Living – covering home interest, crafts, women's interest, puzzles. Publishing Director, Simon Wear.

Future Plus, the customer publishing agency overseen by Publishing Director, David Maher-Roberts continues to work for a growing range of clients including the Musicians' Union and Play.com.
