Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario 3

Everyone's Favorite Itlatian Plumber is back in the 3rd version of the ALL-TIME best selling game. Most of the tips and hints in here apply to ALL the Versions (NES, All-Stars, GBA), however, there is a Hidden Power-up in the GBA Version. I'm sure everyone knows this, but the noobs may not. There are 3 Flutes hidden in the game. 1 in W1 L3 behind the finish black background. The Mini Castle in W1 above the door behind the Dry Bones. The last one in W2 behind the mountain thing in the way upper-right corner of the map that can be broken with a Hammer. Mario 3 is all about secrets so check every warp pipe and jump at random times to check for hidden blocks. Quick sand always kills you except in World 8, Part 3, 2nd Level when the sand is white and the quick sand is orange. The sun can be killed with Hammer Mario or a Koopa Shell. Now for the Secret Power-Up in the GBA Version. Have you noticed the annoying slot games change to a heart when you beat one? Then the new slot game has a Leaf instead of a Star. If you get the Leaf, you earn 8 lives. But it keeps getting better. If you manage to beat one of the Heart Slots (AKA won 2 slot games in a row), It changes to yet another icon, Clovers if I'm not mistaken. If you manage to get to this point and enter the Slot Game, the Leaf will be gone and it will be replaced with... a feather? If you line up the feather you will win the feather from Super Mario World. And just because it's Mario 3 does't mean it functions differently. It works the same way it did in SMW. You can do the spin attack, fly without repeatedly pressing A like the Raccoon, and glide! Don't feel like winning the slot game 3 times in a row? Just get an Action Replay and it's yours.
