X-box 360 Released too soon!
Well well well, here I am posting in the horride suX-box section about the 360, why? Well of course not because I got one, I'd never. However, for those of you thinking of buying one soon, WAIT! Because Microsoft was trying to push it to get the system out for the Holiday season, the X-box 360 failed to be thouroughly tested and as a result, many consumers have been complaining about their 360 crashing numerous times (The blue screen of death!). This shouldn't be to anyone surprise since this is only Microsoft's 2nd "video game" console. I use quotes because by deffinition, video games don't play CDs or DVDs. Regardless, the X-box had problems setting itself on fire with the power cord and now the 360 crashes constantly. The CORRECTED Version of the X-box 360 is expected to arrive in store near March, around when the Revolution and PS3 should be coming out. For those of you who have the 360 and are getting screwed by Microsoft because the system keeps crashing, I have no pity for you. You should ALWAYS wait atleast 2 weeks after launch dates to ensure the system is working properly.

Microsoft Assures Users of Faulty Xbox 360s.
( And lets Admit, The " Power cord " Issuse can happen to any company, Sony, Microsoft, even nintendo. )
Software giants Microsoft has admitted that they have received complaints from some of the new owners of their recently launched Xbox 360 gaming console about possible defects in the gaming console. The console has been a total sold out with most of the retail stores out of stock practically within hours of the launch….
….Microsoft has assured these gamers that if they face any problems with their consoles, they should head towards the console’s official website and report it. The company has even said that they would pay to ship the console to and from a repair centre, or provide a replacement if the fault could not be repaired. Looks like the software giant wants to play it safe and prevent any bad publicity related to this gaming console which is due to be launched in Europe and Japan next month.

True, but it didn't. It happened to Microsoft and it probably becaus eMicrosoft is new to the business and Sony and Nintendo have experience and know what they are doing. This is now 2 systems Microsoft has released and both of them have had some pretty major problems. Let's face it, people should stick with what we know works best, Nintendo and Sony.

True but your comparing two very UNLIKE things, genius. MEchanical Fualts and Flops are NO WHERE near comparable. A Flop is when a product doesn't seel very well do to various reasons, Virtual Boy didn't sell well because of various reasons, mostly because it was uncomfortable and it wasn't the safest thing sinc eit was using never before htought of technollogy. and believe it or not, the Eye toy isn't a flop. It's been doing very well, I find them to be extremely entertaining and everyone I know that has a PS2 has the Eye Toy and loves it, so I dunno where you heard it was a flop, but it's not. and Microsoft is King of COMPUTERS, get is straight, when it coems to general electronics, that belongs to Sony without as shadow of a doubt, and video games belongs to Nintendo, Case Closed.

Alrighty there PAL If you say so, Oh, Well lets see here Microosoft is the King of all Computers, right? Well whats in every eletronic around the World? a Computer, But Microsoft has (1) of the Best OS's, But Nopt the Most powerfull, The Most Powerfull is linux, but thats Going off Topic. Anyway, Microsoft knows what there doing. But i'm Not about to Buy in to all the Hype of This thing My Friends Xbopx 360, Dose Get warm, But it Dont get HOT. It will only get hot from HOURS of Endless play which is not healthy for any Console, and i dont see where you get off saying a Video game Console Dose Not Play DVDs and CDs, Thats a Very Good Design, Because, it Means that There is Less Clutter, Ok Sure there have been reports of the 360's DVD Playback. SUCKS big time, and wont replace the God ol' Dvd player, and that is true, Now i dont have a 360, But i do however have a PS2, and it has Played EVERY Dvd i threw at it. ( My bro even played Burned ones in his. ) But Mine for some odd reason refused to Play That Electra Movie for reasons unknown to me, But who is to say, these problems cant be fixed, every thing man Made is not going to be flawless thats just how it is, and the Parts that in the power supply i dont think are " Microsoft " Proudcts, The Problem lies with the Components in the Power supply, not with microsoft.

All your doing right now is helping to prove my point, and where do you go off bringing up this whole system heating thing, I honestly don't know what the heck you were thinking. That's like, straight out of left field. But let's face it, Microsoft doesn't know what it's doing with these ocnsoles when it can't even release 2 systemes without them having problems. And admit it, a PS2 not playing every DVD or CD made is insignificant compared to X-boxes starting fires. and perhaps the way you seem to define a comptuer is that stuff inside of it, but by that definition, I-pod, MP3 Players, gameboys, CD Players, radios, cameras, tape recorders, and anything with microchips or that sort is a computer. MY definition is the thing right infrotn of you with the monitor, keyboard, printer hooekd up to it, the harddrive, thats a computer to me. And when it comes to making MY deffinition of a computer then Microsoft is the best. But when it comes to electronics likes like the ones mentioned earlier belong to Sony cause they've made them for years. And Video games belong to Nintendo because Nintendo knows what it's doing. Atleast hey aren't in the market for revenge and even their first system was able to be released without fires, and the SNES didn't crash all the time when it was released. And as for the power cord not being part of microsoft, maybe it is or isn't, but if it's not, then how come Microsoft didn't insure the power cord they did get worked properly with the system or make sure what they got is what they ordered? If they were able to replace it when it was a problem, how come they didn't replace it before it was one?

My first and final words on the debate in this thread is the following;
Just because a company has been out on the market longer than another company doesn't give you the right to bash it and tell everyone that we should avoid them. Nintendo was new to the market way back when. Super, you seem to be making out Nintendo (and Sony) are perfect because they've been around a lot longer than Microsoft. They're not; They've had problems with things just like Microsoft -- Sure, maybe not as serious as fires, but why don't you give Microsoft a chance and let them learn from their mistakes?
I don't like the XBOX, but that's because I've TRIED it and I didn't like it and I didn't like the controller and a couple other things. I'm willing to give the 360 a chance because it's the new next gen console out there. Anyway, I need to get going now.

I'm not saying they are perfect, I'm just saying they have more experience. Oh, and BTW, I would like to mention that the slim PS2 also had an issue witht he power cord and has recalled select models. Check the site for more info. And LAY OFF, Dren! I posted in here to make people aware of the problems the 360 was having, Tech made it the arguement, so why not look over in his direction instead of focusing all on me, huh?
