Revolution to be called Nintendo Go?

[font=\"Arial\"] Engadget has posted this image supposedly leaked from some sort of Japanese showcase of Nintendo's new console. It's not clear yet whether this belongs to the other Revolution mock-up screens or is a genuine picture. Here's hoping that the forthcoming keynote speech of Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata at GDC will clear this up once and for all.

Nah... Do they mean 'go' as in advancing into the future or something? I just don't get it. :\

Personally I think Nintendo Revolution sounds better and has more marketing possibilities than Nintendo Go.

imo, yes. revolution would definately be a better name for marketing. around where i live, at least, people refer to game consoles by their "name" only, eg. xbox, ps2, 360, gamecube, etc. now something called "go" could invoke a conversation like this...

Player 1: "so i was playing <game> on the go last night..."
Player 2: "eh what! on the go? wtf"

etc etc, so on so forth.

"revolution" is a much better name, again imo. its different, its kinda catchy, and it implies that the console is going to do something different, something better, an entirely new 'revolution' of the gaming industry.

in short, revolution ftw. go -> diaf.

And yes, vercz, that is entirely what I was meaning. Revolution *means* something...Go, well...Go...what? where?...just doesn't fly imo

Agree'd, agree'd, and agree'd lol. I also like the fact that there is already a short way of referring to the Revolution which is "Revo". So even if you didn't want to say such a long name you could just refer to it as the Revo. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
