Dwice ? New Game from Creator of Tetris, Alexey Pajitnov

March 30th, 2006 - WildSnakeTM Software (www.wildsnake.com) is excited to announce their collaboration with Alexey Pajitnov, famed creator of Tetris?, has produced the first title in their new line of puzzle games. Alexey's Dwice represents an innovative new approach to action puzzle games.

Alexey's Dwice is a game of action matching where you are on a race against the clock to save a village from an impending avalanche. Match together the icy blocks that are the same shape or isolate them from their chilly friends to eliminate them from the board. Move fast because more blocks are always sliding down the mountain. Collect special power ups, like explosives, fire lines, and ice picks to help clear the blocks.

Alexey's Dwice comes with two different game modes. The adventure game mode lets you travel from location to location, saving the many villages from a long winter. Arcade Mode represents a more traditional Alexey's products, where a never ending avalanche awaits the skill and speed required to push it back for as long as possible.

Alright...this game is my new addiction. I tried the demo, I now have a fully licensed version. This game is awesome (but I'll put more details in a proper review). Suffice to say that as of this moment, I am rated as the #2 player in the world. The person ahead of me is named Alexy2, so I think I can safely presume that is the creator of Dwice (and Tetris). I achieved this level right from the first time I played it, as I went as far as I could with the demo, licensed it, and picked up right where I left off (gotta love that about casual games).

I can second it that it's a very great game and it's addicting. Although, I'm not sure if I'll get a full copy since I'm not wanting to fork out the $20 for it since I'm trying to save up for a new computer. Wait...... The lowest on the highscore board is a score of 130 on level 1 with 0 combo's? I didn't even get above that? I'm sure I did, unless it only counts licensed versions. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

I think it only does that for registered users Josh, I'm not sure. If the game over screen comes up, it will tell you if you beat your previous score and ask if you want to put it on the website.

Okay...registered and everything, but it did something screwy with my score after I was given notice it needs registered. (It reset it...o.0) So I had to start over after registration, but here's the first time going past stage 1....

Good job, Grasshopper. If I didn't have so much work to do tonight I'd be playing LOL...well...I still might find time to sneak in a round...but then it would stretch into a few rounds...and then just a few more.....
