Tami will probably remember me talking about this just after it happened.
About a year back, we got a callout for a multi-vehicle MVA. Arriving on scene, we discovered that while there were 3 vehicles involved, we could only find 2. A brief breakdown of the case:
Poeshe tries to make it through a yellow light by excelerating rapidly, reaching an estimated speed of over 120mph at time of impact (evidenced by a lack of skid marks, the driver thought they would \"make it\" through). Porshe makes direct impact with rear right corner of 22-wheel tractor trailer, pushing trailer end into mini-van travelling next to it (if you\'ve seen those trailers, you know that something would have to hit it pretty hard to push it sideways into another car). We found the truck, and we found the vav, The porshe was not on scene. Unbelievable, right?
Getting out of the trucks, we were \"greeted\" by the Incident Command Officer from the Local Police, who led us off the highway, down the 20 foot bank, and into the treeline, where we found what was left of the car, and the markings of it\'s impact some 15 feet up a very large tree.
Because of the nature of the incident (double-fatality), I obviously can\'t share the pictures, but I\'m sure you can imagine the scene. I think it\'s not necessary to say that there was literally no piece of the car that was larger than 2\' in width. What was not left \"attached\" to the rear of the trailer essentially disintigrated on impact with the tree... this included the driver and his one passenger, both unbelted.

On topic, it shows how well Ferrari\'s are built, given the passenger compartment is largely sound, and the doors are opened on their own hinges instead of being cut or pried open. That\'s one nice thing about wing-doors... easy to get full access to the inside of the car, and they hold up better in rear-impacts than standard doors.
