As Yet Untitled

I haven't written anything in quite sometime (that wasn't in one way or another work-related). While I did write the rough of this awhile ago, this is one of the "near completion" edits. Thoughts & impressions welcome.

Standing alone
To bear Winter's sorrow,
A single desire
Hope taken captive.
Imprisoned in silence
Words echo hollow.
A weapon at hand,
So easy to wound.
Shards fall slowly,
Ground to dust.
Will defeated,
Sorrow runs deep.
The well's gone dry,
No tears to fall.
For certes there is blame,
I claim freely my part.
The spirit lies broken,
Faded to shadow.
Savour each one,
Your victories sweet.
Behind each smile,
An empty facade.
A tortured soul,
Trust misplaced.
Watching unseen,
The sadness pools.
In depths of despair,
The soul doth crumble.

hmmm... powerful. you left the interpretation up to the reader for most of that, which i like.

ive missed your writing, but at the same time; i havent because it implies a certain mood or frame of mind. follow? lol.
