Computer Parts List

Post by Josh »

Hey all, Well... Hopefully... sometime soon... I\'ll be getting a new pc. I may be dreaming, but whatever. Here is a visual of what I have for computer parts at TigerDirect. Am I missing something for the computer? I\'ve even included a new monitor and speakers... But I mean, am I missing anything internally for the system? That excludes the keyboard, mouse, etc... Thanks in advanced everyone /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> I\'d appreciate some checking over this list. If you want a list of the parts then here it is; Barebone: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...p;sku=C122-3568 RAM: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...mp;sku=ULT31664 Graphics: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...161&CatId=0 Speakers: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...mp;sku=L23-6322 Monitor: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...mp;sku=V18-1982 Also, if you guys can find some parts that are better and cheaper, then let me know! /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

A sound card unless the mother board comes with one built in, Also i would recomend a new case that your motherboard will fit in O.o

Heat sink isn\'t mentioned that I can see. You\'ll want one of them. Probably need another fan somewhere. Not too impressed with VGA, shouldn\'t be using that these days, but the graphics card should be decent enough.

I don\'t really trust barebones, nor PSUs that come with cases, but if it\'s the more feasible option money wise then you\'d probably be fine.

I probably could get the mobo and case and crap seperate too... But I don\'t want to spend the time to look for sizes and compatibility and stuff... so if anyone wants to do that for me then go right ahead. I want a cool case though <3

you will want to get a seperate sound card rather then built in. The sound quality on motherboards is a bit like the graphics quality... really poor, your better off getting a mid range creative labs sound card, at least then any music you play will sound half decent.

In my opinion you shouldn\'t worry about what the case looks like, as long as it is functional and has proper holes for cooling etc. With the money you save on getting a \'good looking\' case you could perhaps get more memory or a better processor or a bigger hdd.

good points.

and with the alex saying that the onboard sound sucks... well mine is onboard, and some of the clearest sound ive ever heard. still plays with awesome clarity at high levels.

mabie vercz but the highest level of sound ive heard is AC-97 onboard... which doesnt support surround sound effectively (if you have 5:1 or 7:1 speakers) and it doesnt support THX or EAX ambiance... which makes the sound more cinematic... though mabie your motherboard was equipped with a decent sound chip. Im just going based on my experiences with onboard sound and graphics... for me they have never been anywhere close to external card sound /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
