Here you can post Firefox Extensions that you like/dislike.

When posting, please post about what the extension does, and a link to the download, and your opinions if you wish.

My favourite extensions that I use to date are:

PDF Download
Allows to choose whether you want to view a PDF file inside the browser (as PDF or HTML) or you want to download it!

My favorite Extensions so far are;

No Script

It allows JavaScript, Java and other executable content to run only from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking web site, and guards the "trust boundaries" against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS). Such a preemptive approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality...

Temporary Inbox 2.0.13

This extension generates random disposable email addresses. You can use these email addresses for registration in forums, adult sites or whereever.
The email addresses don't require registration. This is an easy way to avoid spam, because the spamer will never get your private email address .. only the temporaryinbox.com email address. And there the emails will be deleted after 6 hours.
Avoiding spam is sooo easy!

I'm liking those two extensions you've posted, Mark. I'll have to check them out when I get home from work (not that I've gone to work yet, but I'm leaving shortly - of course, I'll be home a couple of hours after that lol).

As for IE, I am unfortunately forced to use it by the US Government DHS to create eManifests for my drivers taking loads south. The web portal [b]only[/b] works in IE, it's slow as all get out and has a habit of timing out on you while you're filling in the stupid information. Oh yes, and it [b]only[/b] works on broadband, so if any companies are on dial-up, as many remote areas still are, you have to pay someone else to file your eManifests for you, because they are mandatory at the border crossings. If you're using satellite internet, you'd better hope you get all of the info filed before the satellite moves out of range or your connection switches to a different satellite. this is my allllll time favvvvorite plugin ever. this is one of my most valuable tools for network security testing on websites and web based applications.

this allows you to not only view the headers you send, Including Cookies , big plus for me. but everything you view, you can Modify and send it right back!

cool plugins people...

ada, couldn't you use IE Tab?... one of our systems at work only works with IE, and they aint even updated it to accept the IE7 user agent string, so well, it's IE Tab or nuttin here lol

AllInOneSidebar, SEO toolbar (shows pagerank of pages etc), fasterfox (lets you do a little tweaking, and gives a nice page-load timer)

adblock plus, which lets me filter out stupid annoying ads, pretty much removes the entire element in which they sit, so it looks like the ads were never there <3

ColorZilla, useful eyedropper type tool for finding the colour of any part of a webpage/graphic you view online.

GooglePreview (gives a nice little image next to google search results to preview the result page)

IE Tab, useful in general!

Tab mix plus, nice tab customisation stuffs

and.. saved the best till last, web developer extension, soooo useful

features such as outlining divs, showing comments, even to editing html code of a page you view.. and viewing generated code i.e. if you use ajax in a page (before i get too technical, I'll sum it up: it rocks!) <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

Stylish... Styles pages which is real nice...changes the css on the user end.

IETab of course! Opens a tab which uses the IE rendering engine.
Foxmarks .. this one uploads your firefox bookmarks onto a server and requires a user and pass to access them.... This means you can get to your bookmarks anywhere on any machine <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... iggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />
FireFTP ... this one is just an ftp client for firefox and it opens up in it's own tab

...that's about it except for that screenshot one that took a screenshot of the webpage for me.. I don't have it right now since I got my new pc so I don't know the name of it <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... #>/cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

I've found firefox to have some problems when it comes to dealing with 'ip' websites. Say if I'm trying to get to my modem, I type in the ip in the address bar, it finds it, asks me for the password and login, I type it in and then nothing. Works with IE.
Anyway that was leading up to my next point which is that fireFTP doesn't want to connect to my xbox, which again uses the ip rather than a set domain. So am I doing something wrong when I just put in the ip address, do I have to put something in front?

probably shouldnt talk too much about it in this topic, but.. is your xbox already modded to receive ftp? i use xenium ice, and honestly i prefer... in this rare case, windows ftp, the internet explorer version in combination with ftp.exe

btw, another good program for firefox... is DemocraKey ill have to find the download link, wanted to mention it while i had time though. it has portable apps for memory sticks and ipods when used as mass storage devices.. including Portable Mozilla

I have connected to my xbox many times through other programs, even IE works.. just firefox won't do it. Must be something to do with connecting to ftp through IP's, because I can connect to my site no worries.

heres the ones i like...

Firebug... view and edit HTML, CSS, JavaScript and view HTTP headers, images and flash on the fly, basically a complete script editor.

Greasemonkey... scripting for firefox, uber.

Stumbleupon... find new sites (i use this in IE as well) its amazing.

Videodownloader... get the source for any video for over 60+ sites.

Web Developer... disable any part of a website, highlight elements, validate code, etc.
